Description: 5 strings, rosewood frame, birch soundboard, cutouts in soundboard and one on the back. Includes pick and wooden slide. Case (DMHC) sold seperately. Satin finish on body. Measures 33 1/2"L x 5" W x 2" H. Most early dulcimers had a strictly diatonic scale; that is, the frets were placed so as to produce a major scale (do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do) with no extra half steps.
